Credit union representatives announced today the organization has entered into an agreement to acquire a second location, the former ADT building at 502 Fortune Drive in Papillion. The new facility, representing a $4 million investment, will allow PenFed to recruit potential employees from two different parts of the metro and, ultimately, more than double its employee base in the Omaha area.&lt;br /&gt;Frank Pollack, Pentagon Federal Credit Union President and CEO, said, “We've made a conscious decision to increase our presence in the Omaha market place and further utilize its exceptional workforce. This new space positions us well for that future expansion.” Despite the nation’s current economic conditions, PenFed is growing nationally at 20% a year. The Papillion operations center will give the company room to grow locally for the next 7–10 years.&lt;br /&gt;PenFed first established its Omaha center in 1992 with 40 employees in 16,000 square feet of space. In 1999 it expanded to 33,000 square feet at its current location in northwest Omaha. The successful candidate must have a solid background in all accounting practices and principles. We are not looking for a specialist in any area but rather a broad background with a very good understanding of all accounting processes. Payroll is excluded from this function as it is outsourced.&lt;br /&gt;They must be able to work in a very fast-paced environment and deal with changing situations as needed. Small company experience will be essential as this position will be called upon for various projects and reports.&lt;br /&gt;The accounting position level is yet to be decided, i.e. Manager or Director. This will depend on the experience of candidate we are able to locate.&lt;br /&gt;We are seeking someone who has worked in both public and private accounting. The mix of experiences seem to be good preparation for the position. Finally, they must have a degree in accounting and the company strongly prefers a CPA. I was made aware of this program when I use to be Employment Specialist in my prior ward. I made packets for my Bishop to use as needed. This is a wonderful program. As long as there is money still left from 2007 they will honor that year, as well.
