OMAHA, Neb., July 8, 2009 — Pentagon Federal Credit Union, a financial institution serving over 900,000 members worldwide, is expanding its presence in Greater Omaha with the addition of a second customer care operations center to handle mortgages and collections.
PenFed currently employs 284 people at its accounting, data and call center at 13220 Fort Street in northwest Omaha. Credit union representatives announced today the organization has entered into an agreement to acquire a second location, the former ADT building at 502 Fortune Drive in Papillion. The new facility, representing a $4 million investment, will allow PenFed to recruit potential employees from two different parts of the metro and, ultimately, more than double its employee base in the Omaha area.
Frank Pollack, Pentagon Federal Credit Union President and CEO, said, “We've made a conscious decision to increase our presence in the Omaha market place and further utilize its exceptional workforce. This new space positions us well for that future expansion.” Despite the nation’s current economic conditions, PenFed is growing nationally at 20% a year. The Papillion operations center will give the company room to grow locally for the next 7–10 years.
PenFed first established its Omaha center in 1992 with 40 employees in 16,000 square feet of space. In 1999 it expanded to 33,000 square feet at its current location in northwest Omaha. This center began with about 140 employees and has since doubled to 284 employees.
Pollack reported, “This growth reflects the excellent labor productivity we have found in Omaha and operating cost savings in areas such as electricity, which is very important to us. We have also appreciated a high level of community cooperation from the Omaha community and have worked closely with the Greater Omaha Economic Development Partnership on each of our expansions.”
“Financial services are a strong and growing industry in Nebraska,” Neb. Gov. Dave Heineman said. “PenFed's decision to expand in Papillion is another great example of a company already established in Nebraska announcing an additional investment in our state's business community.”

SOUTHWEST IOWA MENTAL HEALTH CENTER

THERAPIST - PsyD/PhD, LISW, LMHC. Full time position. Must be licensed/license eligible in Iowa. Able to perform therapy with children, adolescents and adults. Capable of managing psychiatric emergencies.

HOME CARE/HOSPICE

LPN - Occasional position. One-on-one care for pediatric client in the home setting. Must have good customer service and critical thinking skills. Confidence and good communication a must.

As a follow up to what I shared with the group yesterday, here is a brief outline of the Accounting position.
The position will report to the CFO and will also supervise 2 hourly employees. The successful candidate must have a solid background in all accounting practices and principles. We are not looking for a specialist in any area but rather a broad background with a very good understanding of all accounting processes. Payroll is excluded from this function as it is outsourced.
They must be able to work in a very fast-paced environment and deal with changing situations as needed. Small company experience will be essential as this position will be called upon for various projects and reports.
The accounting position level is yet to be decided, i.e. Manager or Director. This will depend on the experience of candidate we are able to locate.
We are seeking someone who has worked in both public and private accounting. The mix of experiences seem to be good preparation for the position. Finally, they must have a degree in accounting and the company strongly prefers a CPA. Compensation will depend on all of the above items and they offer a very good benefits plan.
The position is located in west Omaha in the 114th and Dodge area.

Provide up-to-date expertise in BMDS Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) and supporting technologies to assist in development of the Achievable Capabilities List (ACL) and to enable the BMDS Subject Matter Liaison to: a) respond to STRATCOM questions and issues about BMDS plans and programs; and b) make recommendations within MDA/DE and MDA Engineering working groups on technical and programmatic aspects of meeting STRATCOM requirements and priorities for missile defense capabilities. I was made aware of this program when I use to be Employment Specialist in my prior ward. I made packets for my Bishop to use as needed. This is a wonderful program.
